CCTV Systems

CCTV Closed Circuit Television

In our current climate crime is high. Private homes and business premises are, and will continue to be targets for vandals and thieves, especially when they are known to be empty for certain periods of time. When you have worked hard for your house and your belongings the last thing you need is the added worry of having them vandalised or stolen. This can be inconvenient at best, costly in financial terms and time in regards to finding the perpetrator, not to mention being very damaging emotionally. Victims can be left feeling very vulnerable and scared in their own homes or workplace, add to this the complications of trying to get items, returned or restored.

In many cases a modern CCTV system is the answer to crime prevention.

Considering the installation of CCTV can be very useful in home security to monitor and protect your property. CCTV footage can be invaluable in the identification and prosecution of the perpetrators of crimes.

By setting up a network of CCTV cameras on your premises many locations can be viewed and cameras even moved using pan tilt and zoom technology from either a single or a series of monitors.

We can help you select and design a system to suit your requirements and budget, Picture Perfect Aerials provide many types of CCTV systems, from the most basic which are extremely easy to use (ideal for any technophobes!) right through to state of the art fully networked systems that can be remotely viewed over the internet via a PC or laptop or even on from a mobile phone

We also provide systems to commercial customers modern CCTV systems.

Businesses use CCTV for differing reasons some require covert cameras for stock surveillance or to watch the cash till even for monitoring industrial processes for health and safety reasons.

A good quality professionally installed CCTV system can not only offer you and your staff safety and peace of mind but also save you money in the long run.

Freeview

Freeview...

You will need either a compatible set-top digital box or a television with a built-in digital receiver (IDTV). There is no subscription, however additional pay-TV services are available.

Some aerials may need to be upgraded in order to receive the digital signal, although this is not necessary in many cases, feel free to contact us regarding this!.

The Digital Switchover which started to take place in 2007 and is due to be completed by 2012, will allow for an increase in both Freeview coverage and transmitter power. Ofcom is backing a near-doubling of efficiency by two means. These are, first, through coding squeezing more into the same spectrum by using MPEG4 rather than the current MPEG2. Secondly it is backing a new transmission standard DVB-T2, an update from existing DVB-T, this alone promises to deliver a 30 percent increase in capacity to a multiplex. Together the two moves increase the capacity of a multiplex by 60 percent.

Starting in 2009 there are plans to roll out High Definition channels on a regional basis. It is expected that the first three High Definition channels will be BBC HD, ITV HD, and Channel 4 HD.

Current Freeview set-top boxes and HD-ready digital televisions are not capable of decoding DVB-T2 so viewers will need to purchase an HD receiver when the time comes.

Sky Digital Services

Sky television is the most subscribed to television network in the United Kingdom today. With hundreds of channels to choose from it is not surprising that the majority of UK homes now have at least a basic Sky package, and in order to receive channels from Sky you need to have the correct equipment.

When you subscribe to Sky digital you will receive a satellite dish and a satellite receiver which processes the digital information, and allows the picture and sound to appear on your television. What many people are not aware of it that this equipment actually belongs to them, and if it goes wrong it is up to the customer to repair or replace. Sky offer insurance protection on all equipment they supply but many people do not choose to take up the option.

Picture Perfect Aerials provide a total solution for all digital viewers including re-tuning and repair of existing equipment, whether it is a problem with reception or you need a new system, there is no job to big or to small.

We provide the following Sky services:

* Adjustment or Realignment

* Sky+ LNB Replacement
* Re Cabling (WF100 type)

Will my TV Aerial be ok for Digital?

There are a few ways to find out whether your TV aerial is suitable and compatible for Digital TV, it is one of the most common questions we get asked.

Digital UK suggest you go to Teletext page 284 to check whether your aerial is ok for digital. However, a lot of our customers have said this is quite confusing (their words, not ours!). There are also a number of factsheets available from www.digitaluk.co.uk .

If you’ve bought a Freeview receiver or digital TV set plug in your existing TV aerial and see how well it works before thinking about spending your money on a new aerial. If you can receive all the channels you want and the picture is stable there is no need to buy a new aerial.

Picture Perfect Aerials offer a free survey to determine whether your TV Aerial is compatible for reliable Digital reception using our state of the art equipment. If you would like to get a Free TV Aerial Survey or more information please feel free to contact us @
